Dr. S. Janakiraman, Indian Institute of Technology Indore,India
Dr. S Janakiraman holds a Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India, and a master’sfrom the National Institute of Technology Karnataka Surathkal, India. He received his bachelor’s degree from K. S. R. M College of Engineering, Cuddapah in Mechanical Engineering. He worked as a research associate in the materials research center at the Indian Institute of Science Bangalore, India from January to November 2021. He is currently working as Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering department at the Indian Institute of Technology Indore. Before joining IIT Kharagpur he has also served as Assistant Professor in the School of Mechanical Engineering at Lovely Professional University, Punjab, India for 2 years. Dr. Janakiraman has been involved in research on composites, surface modifications, lithium, sodium, and magnesium ion rechargeable batteries over a decade. He has done extensive research in new battery separator electrolyte systems for rechargeable batteries. He filed an Indian patent from one of his Ph. D works and was part of two other Indian patents filed from his research group. He has authored over 16 international journal articles, 3 conference proceedings, 1 book chapters, and 2 books. His articles appeared in high-impact Journals like the Journal of power sources, Electrochimica Acta, CeramicsInternational, Solid-state Ionics, and the Journal of Electroanalytical Chemistry, etc. He has an H-index of 11 on google scholar and his research has been cited by many international researchers all over the world. In addition, he represented his research work twice at renowned international conferences held in the USA and France during his Ph.D. course. He is awarded a research associate fellowship by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, India for carrying the research work on new battery materials for rechargeable batteries. He has vast experience in research on rechargeable batteries for over 8 years.
