Dr. Siti Azrah Mohamad Samsuri is currently a senior lecturer at the School of Physics, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). Her research interest is in the semiconductor materials fundamental design and development for high-performance optoelectronic devices including solar cells and photodetectors. Her current work involves synthesizing lead (Pb)-free perovskite material as a solar cells absorber. The studies are conducted due to the concern of the toxicity and stability issues of conventional perovskite structured material and to fully utilize the advantage properties of perovskite structure in optoelectronics devices. Dr. Siti Azrah is the head of the Nano-optoelectronics Research and Technology Laboratory, a lab that is located in the School of Physics, USM that houses an extensive range of equipment for semiconductor material and device processes. In 2023, she was awarded Chennupati and Vidya Jagadish visiting fellowship to do collaboration work on the optoelectronics materials and devices research at the Australian National University.
